The easiest way to get to this summit is to start out from the concrete sheep pans at D226394 and follow the track uphill parallel with the embankment. Once through a gate, continue with the embankment and fence, the latter may need to be crossed once or twice to find the easiest ground. This was the way I descended as my appraoch was along the ridge to the north which proved to be very boggy. The trig point is almost above a fine chambered grave with a bench mark on top. Excellent views on a fine still evening with views to Scotland including The Paps of Jura. View |
